Let's bring it back, way back! To the late 1800s with this one. Although it's classically been known as “the gentleman's drink” we have seen some fine looking ladies enjoy a few of these. It's a simple mix of your choice of rye, sweet and dry vermouth, three dashes of angostura bitters, one dash of orange bitters and finished with one brandied cherry. I have been guilty of using Rhubarb bitters occasionally in place of the orange. Stir, serve up in cocktail glass or enjoy it on the rocks in a lowball glass.
